Knowing your NUTS!

Suddenly, out of nowhere, I started reading up on certain food which are always believed to be beneficial for health..So today, I wanna post some infomation about few types of NUTS! *wink*


Walnut












  • Walnuts are great sources of omega-3 fatty acids, one type of fatty acid essential for our body as it cannot be produced inside our body. In addition it s essential as it can help to prevent erratic heart rhythms, making blood less likely to clot in the blood vessels.
  • The health benefits cover from cardiovaskular protection [heart and blood vessels], promote better cognitive functions, to anti-inflammatory helpful in asthma, rheumatoid arthritis [joint disease], and inflammatory skin diseases like eczema

  • Hazelnuts are good source of vitamin B1, B2 and B6 which are good for mental health and blood formation especially in developing children

Almonds











  • Almonds high in MUFA, essential for preventing cardiovascular disease as it lower down LDL-cholesterol level in blood

  • Almonds also contain potassium and magnesium. Magnesium necessary to maintain normal flow of blood, oxygen and nutrients in body while potassium is needed to maintain normal blood pressure.
