Bel Pasto Italian Restaurant

Today I went for lunch with Baby at Bel Pasto Italian Restaurant at Kepong Baru. The have two branch one in Kepong Baru, and another one in Kepong, near Aman Puri Condominium. The food prices there are pretty standard for those dine-in restaurant. The only thing we find worth dining is their set lunch. Their set lunch ranges from RM9.90 to RM29.90. The cheapest set is the one that me and my love always go for. The set consists of a soup of the day, main course and a glass or drink.

My favorite choice of main course is always the Spaghetti Olio while my baby boy is Pizza Margeritta.. Their soup of the day for today is Cream of Chicken..which I personally find not as appetizing as the pumpkin soup..

Forgotten to take my Spaghetti Olio..my bad! Sorry..But this is how the pizza and soup looks like:

You can see the ambiance and the surroundings in the restaurant. Well it looks quite bright in the restaurant but the lighting is quite dim and will be very romantic for couples at night. Minus the noisy conversations by other people, this place is suitable for couples as a romantic date. But today there was a lot of people and it was very very noisy..i can barely hear what my love was talking about! =.="

My custard pudding is done! My first time experience of making caramel...

This is the best pudding ever...I love it.!

Besties Genting Trip September 2011

Right..I know it's already 2012 and kinda late for this post wtf! Sorry..but then since I'm 'pretty' not occupied by my cancer notes now, I wanna update about our little trip. Well, this trip was a successful one as we besties have known each other for so many years but never go for any holiday together for once..well outing was too much and most in Ipoh..This time we wanna go OUT from Ipoh together! It took us few months to plan everything ahead, buy the tickets for transport, buffet and also booking rooms. Miss Ngeaw was in charged to book the room while I will be the on providing accommodation a day before the trip, buying the tickets and the manager of the trip..LOL..

There are many photos we took but difficult to post all here. If you are interested to view the pictures, kindly add me in FB and view, or you can clink this link: Besties Genting

We arrived at Genting through GoGenting bus. You can get the package at GoGenting booth in Gombak LRT station, KL central, Pudu Raya and One Utama. The one day package they offer are two way transfer for bus and cable car, one inter-changeable ticket for either buffet lunch at Coffee Terrace or Outdoor theme park entrance ticket. All these are only RM47. I can tell you that the buffet lunch cost about RM55 per person. So the package is a good deal actually. Unfortunately this package is only for one day trip. So if you plan to stay over at Genting like us, the ticket is still worth it if u go for the buffet! [at least u can avoid cracking your head thinking what to eat]. The buffet has loads of choices from local cuisine to western, indian and japanese food. Delicious! That's all I can say..check out these links for more information : GoGenting & Coffee Terrace

The pictures are randomly arranged..Lol..sorry about that...

The weather was good..windy..bright and no haze..this means we can go play

This picture was taken by Jyn Ling..she entered the cable car before us...so she was left alone at another cable car..she took picture of us..

So, playing time...the good thing about Genting themepark is that, adult can play children games but not the other way round..

One thing about me, camwhoring is there all the time

Our lovely Miss Ngeaw been pretty obsess with the Worm Height Measurer..

Our Chia Wen is so cute...

Got no idea why Jyn Ling gave such reaction

Group picture while waiting for our cable car. We waited for 1 hour that day. Lesson learnt: NEVER go Genting during peak season! ='(

Our SECOND ride for Space Shot. Jyn Ling and I was so thrilled after the first ride and dragged Wai Leng together for the 2nd time but unfortunately, she was not that 'brave' for this..ended up crying after the ride..Sorry!

W.Leng dragged us to play the water boat and I wanted to curse her as I ended up wet for the whole body + with the cold wind, I caught a cold and could not breathe the whole day..

Flash back to before the boat ride..you can see how excited she was..We waited for so long also and the stupid boat took ages to go up the slope..OMG...wtf! There was two slopes, means we will be wet for two times.. I was already wet after the first slope and the boat was moving soooooo slowly to the second slope...I was shivering like helll..... wth! That's how I got my cold! TQ wai leng!!! Cis..but it was fun!

Killing her already!

Up next is some crazy or cute individual pictures

Chia wen loves green color which makes her loves plants too

Too tired..but still wanna be cute!

Hello! I'm cute Mashi

See how lazy Miss Ngeaw was...

More group photos in Chocolate land

We are que-ing for pirate ship..greatest excitement! Wai Leng left behind to guard bag..she said she will feel sea sick and heart attack if she got on the boat..LOL...

Time for lunch! We were at Coffee Terrace!

From everyone's expression, u know that the food is simply delicious! Here's we found nice Durian ice cream...hehe...

I miss our time together besties...See you all again soon this CNY..

Love u all!

Cooking on the run

Lately, I've been cooking my meals everyday. There will be fruits and vegetables daily and protein. My protein sources are fish, lean chicken breast meat and egg. For rice, I take low glycemic index (GI) source like brown rice. I enjoyed cooking like I said b4. It's been ages since I last posted any cooking recipe..Well, been super busy to try out new recipe.

Tang Yuen Jie just passed not long ago. I totally forgotten to post a beautiful picture of the glutinous rice balls sweet that I made..

I love colors and when you see the glutinous rice balls, you will know the colorful ones are mine..

My plan for tomorrow is to try this Custard pudding out! I've tried out the Pumpkin pottage by this channel and it's super easy to make. Delicious as well... try this out too : Pumpkin

Best of luck to me!

Weather.....

Haiz...weather lately has been outrageously hot and gone crazy. I don't have a thermometer with me or else I would be trying to measure the temperature outside. Now, at 8.11pm, I feel as if it's 11am (reaching hot temperature of noon). The house is stuffy, humid and warm. I can't sleep soundly if the fan is not turned to maximum; 3 and stopped to face me.. OMG...

Weather....

Y U No - Weather Y u so hot?

Y u so hot????

Can't you just cool down??

hot-day

Weather of our beloved earth is getting worse everyday and the hot climate now is due to worsening of global warming. Cut down of trees, increase number of cars on the roads and also open burning have contributed to high content of Carbon dioxide in the air. High CO2 is bad because it will act as an insulator, trapping heat from being released to the outer space. This leads to rise of earth's temperature, melting of ice at north and south poles, and rise of sea level, leading to flash floods...

I hope people are aware of the dangerous of global warming...If this continues, I guess we will be living in a convection oven no matter is day or night ..WTF...Haizz..

Right now, I just want to stay in front of a fan...

Wait a minute?! Why fan but not air-cond??

That is because...

There's no air cond in house now wtf!

Lol...

Happy 'hotting' and roasting

Enjoy this beautiful song to 'chill' myself from the hot weather!

Relaxation

I have one week study week from today on wards. I took some of my time to watch some videos related to my future profession. This was recommended by William, and it's a channel called The Food Hospital. This is a UK TV channel about how a General Practitioner (GP), Dietitian and a surgeon work together to help solving various diseases and condition using food as medicine..Very interesting channel and I do learn a lot of things...

Welcome 2012, Bye Bye 2011

Haha..Today is 3rd January 2012. I know it's little later to post Happy New Year, but anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR people! This coming year is my final year in study life and also a new year for working life. Hope I will be ready soon! Scary! ='(

I know a lot of people have resolution for new year. Honestly I don't have any resolution or goals every year. I face my days without having to think what is coming up next. I guess to me, no point having so much goals and resolutions because I may not do it, or even remember it throughout the year...so my only resolution to be strong to face whatever that comes ahead...

I also must try to believe myself that I'm strong and I can do it. I think by having such belief as resolution, it can help us to achieve other resolutions that we want. Attitude always 100%..

Believe that you can success, and you will!

In 2012 this year, all I want most is everyone I love and care for are healthy and happy...because they happy I'm happy...

For so many years, I reflected myself and noticed that I've learnt to be more mature, to be happy all the time (if can), to trust myself that I can do it and everything will have a solution. I learn to trust my lover more and our relationship is very stable now (been together for almost 5 years), I learn to respect other people and to listen to others as well...

What I can't do until now is to read news daily, to update myself through the Dietetic Websites...and also to be 'OK' at those people that think they are good at something but in fact they are not so! [trying my best to change though]. Well there's a saying goes : Sei Sing Pat Goi (Will never change the attitude), and I believe myself fit to it..I admit that for me to change is not easy! LOL, we'll wait and see ya!

So Happy New Year again and take good care!

Update for Skin care and make up routine!

Emm...it's been a long time since I did a skin care product review..I've been super busy to have time to come up with a good review of products that I've used. No doubt that I've been trying many new products for the past few months and I finally come out with a conclusion of the following items which suit my skin so much. Ok as you can see, there are a few items in the picture which I love a lot currently. My skin care routine is the same for day and night, which covers the basic skin care essentials: cleanser, toner and moisturizer. Additional skin care items are my scrub, pore strips and zits treatment (BP). Let's start reviewing the products.

L-R: Clinelle Soothing Skin Toner (RM 30+), Simple Oil Balancing Exfoliating Wash (RM19+), Oxy 5% Benzyl Peroxide, St. Ives Scrub for Blemish and Blackhead Control (RM24+), Fruit of the Earth 100% Aloe Vera Gel (RM10+) and Biore Pore Pack (RM10+ for 10 strips)

We're going to review one by one ya! First start with the cleanser. I've tried so many cleansers but it's only Simple's Oil Balancing Exfoliating Wash and Cetaphil Cleanser that makes me being loyal to them. But currently I'm not using Cetaphil Cleanser as I've left it at my hometown and also because my skin has been quite oily lately due to stress and humid weather. This cleanser is great because it doesn't contain a lot of chemicals, it does not foam and great is that there's no fragrance at all which makes it suitable for sensitive skin. I love to use this cleanser because it's moisturizing and not drying my skin at all.

Next, I apply toner. The toner I'm currently using is Clinelle's Soothing Toner. They have two toners and the other one is Purifying toner which I've tried also. The Purifying toner is suitable for oily skin like mine and I love it as well. This Soothing toner is suitable for dry and sensitive skin. I love the scent of it and it does not break me out. After finishing this toner I guess I will go for the Purifying toner..!

Before the toner dries up, I will apply my moisturizer right away. I use Aloe Vera gel as my moisturizer. Seriously, I've never knew that aloe vera gel can be so effective in moisturizing the skin. Previously I've tried many types of moisturizer and ALL of them made my skin so oily and broke out badly after some time. Haiz..I'm still on my goal of finding a perfect moisturizer for my skin. But, this aloe vera gel really impressed me. I've used it for about a month and the effects is slow. It takes some time to give effects to my skin. Now, my skin is smoother and hydrated. The pimples are healing slowing and no new break out after using this. Well occasionally there are breakouts but I don't need my spot treatment anymore. Just the gel itself it helps to calm my pimples down...Amazing! I love the gel because it suits my oily skin, it absorbs quickly into my skin...U can see some reviews on aloe vera gel on YouTube..

Additional skin care for me will include exfoliating and mask. The exfoliator I use is St. Ives scrub and it's a really good scrub. Plus, the one I'm using now is medicated scrub with 2% Salicylic Acid, to help treating spots and blackheads. Erm..I would say it's good for a scrub but to treat spots and blackheads?! NO NO! It does not help with blackheads at all...But this scrub is an apricot scrub, so it has a lot beads in it, therefore, be gentle when you use it to exfoliate ur skin ya! You don't want to strip ur skin away right? I use this scrub every 3 days to reveal softer skin and also before my mask! Em, for mask I don't review here..I've review previously and currently I'm still using the same products.

For blackhead, I'm using Biore Pore Pack. The thing is amazing. It removes my blackheads very well. Seriously! Try it urself and you will know what I mean =P. I use this every 3 days to prevent over drying my nose area. After removing the strip, I will apply my aloe vera gel to prevent my nose area from drying. Well, pore strips can make ur nose dry if you use too frequent! So follow the instruction in the box ya!

Maybelline Cherry Lip Balm, Kose Liquid Foundation, Silky Girl Long Lasting Eyeliner and Maybelline HyperSharp Liner.

Ok as for my make up essential, I must must must have eyeliner! It's a Must Have Make Up for me! =D. Eyeliner makes a huge different to the eyes. My eyes will always appear larger and more alert after applying eyeliner. I love the liquid liner by Maybelline because it really gives precision and clean line. Plus it's waterproof. The Silky Girl liner is pencil eyeliner. It's water proof also but to me it's pretty hard to draw the line. So I use this for lower lash line instead of upper lash line. The liquid foundation is my favorite. It gives food coverage. I use it to cover my blemish scars. Haha..what to do, I have not purchase concealer yet! Hehe..but this foundation works as a concealer as well... Next for lips, Maybelline Lip Balm is Ok! The color is beautiful and it hydrates my lips..My make up is simple actually..haha!

Ok..so long for today! Will update again soon!

Update on Miss Ngeaw's Visit

Miss Ngeaw is my best friend since childhood. I knew her in primary school..erm..at 9 years old. Now, we're both 22, which makes us 11 years of friendship. Even longer than my couple relationship with BF. Lol. Okay..My best friend @ Wai Leng came to KL recently for her Advance Diploma convocation and she stayed with me for about 5 days and it was really thrilling and exciting to have her with me for 5 days.

Me, getting ready for her convo

My lovely best gal friend: Wai leng [she was so thrilled over the angels on the christmas tree]

We brought her parents to Mid Valley for a short walk after the dinner and we visited The Garden's Residence Hotel. OMG. It was the best place ever: High class, classy and EXPENSIVE! But no doubt I must say that their security system is the best. Without the residence access card, you will NEVER get to use the lift at all. So, even if there was any robber or thieves, they will never get to go up to the hotel rooms unless they take the stairs. XD

Christmas tree in The Garden's Hotel

So I went to her convocation at Tar College and after that we celebrated at The Gardens and Mid Valley with her parents the same day. We went to Hokkaido Japanese Restaurant but, we both agreed that, Zanmai is better =} [Cheap and tasty *drooling*]

Her lovely parents! Miss them lots

After the dinner, we met up with Xune, my pen pal or I should say, net pal since 4 years ago. It's been a long time since we last met and it was just so coincidence he came to KL and we met up. Kinda wasted that we did not take any photo despite the long duration of separation..lol..but nvm..this is how he looks like:

The days continue with lots of lots of shopping and outing. We went out for Cosplay with her cousin and friend: Eva Lai. Check this link out for the photos COSPLAY

We also went to Farenheit for shopping and was attracted to the christmas deco there..

Here I am with the beautiful tree. I love it. There's many more pictures to upload but sorry, I'm gonna end the post here. B4 I end..the last shot for the post is this....

May our friendship last long till eternity. Yay! Love ya Leng, take good care and I shall see you again soon during CNY 2012
