More things learnt from the book

I feel like as if being an expert sharing those 'relationship tips' around in my blog. Well those tips are from the book : Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus. Today i wanna share something from the book as well, which is known as 'The Rubber Band Men'

As we all know how rubber band is rite? It is very elastic, where we can pull them to the max and then it will sprang back to the original shape after being let go

Men are like this you know?? ^^

Just like rubber band, men can strecth out to the max and then sprang back. It's their natural cycle too..From the book, it is stated that men constantly need to be autonomy while simultaneously want to be intimate with women they love. When he wants to be intimate and closer with his woman, his independence lessen and thus, his rubber band is not pulled too tight. At certain time, he will feel that he has lost his 'self' so he begin to pull back to regain his independency. When he regain his 'self' identity and independency, his rubber band is tight again and he wil then sprang back to his partner for love.

So, for girls, do try to understand this natural cycle of men and do not blame them when they wanna do their own things and be alone. Well, for men, do try to understand too that it's not wrong for the girls to get close to u too..Try to tolerate and understand k? Wish those in relationship always happy!

I wish we are too baby!

Love is Always With Me

I read other people's blog and the keep saying love quotes and questioned what is love actually? I asked myself this question too...What is love mean to me? Is it like having a bf is love? Or getting pressie during valentines is love? Or talking on phone for ages and smsing non stop is being in love? Are all these love? Love is a feeling where having affection towards a person...according to wikipedia...

For me, I feel it's not easy for two person in love and being together. Sometimes although two people love each other very much but many reasons can tear them apart. I consider myself in love and very lucky to find someone who willing to walk this journey with me..this guy is the love of my life.

We broke up before but we noticed that it's not worth it to just let go of someone who loves us with all our heart, over some silly reasons...Finding someone who loves u as u are is not easy, found already y let go??

Just now I read one girl's blog. I got no idea who is she but she said she reali loves her bf. I read her blog eventually reflected on myself. I used to write all those lovey dovey post in my blog too. Erm..yea now still write la but not so frequent anymore. ^_^

Love is like seasons in the year. There are spring, summer, autumn and winter. When we first in love, we are in spring where to us, our lover is perfect and the love is blooming and growing..Then, soon we noticed that our partner is not as perfect as what we think, the relationship turns hot where arguements happen. During summer, we need to put in effort to make sure the plants turn out well, by adding water and fertilizer. Same goes to relationship. If arguements not being handled well and no effort put in to make the relationship work, then the relationship wil dies...When we move to autumn, the relationship turns to more stable type or it might end up just like that if not taken care during summer. For winter, hibernation occurs where by both couple trust each other well and spend more time for themselves, doing things they like...

I already went through all these stages with my bf and now, I feel like I'm back to spring whereby we discover much more each other. We are learning what read from the book 'Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus'. Seriously, now that I know how to deal with his 'in cave' mood, and support him, he eventually returns the attention and reassurance that I want from him. He begins to appreciate my support and tolerance. He thanked me for being with him...[Being in the sense that I tell him that I'm always there if he need me]. Be reminded that man dun reali need women to tell them how she can help him, but rather just be supportive with whatever decision they make, and purely just be there if he needs u. There is no need to bug him to ask him tell u how he feels. [He will tell if he wants to]

Seriously, this reali works...Just 2 days back my bf went into cave and he told me he wasn't feelin happy..And I just let him be alone saying if he need me, I'll be there in anyway which I can offer. And he simply said TQ. Shortly after few days, he told me he's feeling better because I'm by his side [although physically I'm not].

Those people whom always say sorry for hurting their partner, I feel if they know how their partner is reali like, u will neve hurt them anymore..Read that book...It helps me a lot..At least I know why he acts so crazily once awhile, ignoring me, avoiding me, saying not my problem but as if it is...in the end hurts me too much...but now...no more...We're getting closer each day because we know how different we are and not to change each other...!!

It's not tough to achieve this..if you and ur love want to do it!

p/s: I love u JC...mean it

Getting to apply things learnt from a book

A book? What book? You might be wondering what 'things' that I learnt from this 'book'. The book that I am talking about is 'Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus'. I read through the shorter version of this book. I personally think this book is very very useful for those in relationship or even not. Well the good thing is that we get to know more about ourselves and ur partners' characteristics.

Take for example, I learnt about something called 'Retreat into the Cave' for Men(M), and 'Wave' for Women(W).

Briefly, when M retreat into their 'caves', it means that they want to be alone to sort out some solutions for their problems, which not necessary related to the W. Even though they might not reali look for a solution, they just wan to drag off their mind for a while till fresh again to deal with their problems later. As W's naturally talks to solve their problems, they might find it difficult to accept having their partner retreat and 'back-off' from them. This draw the W closer and chase after the M, going after their problems, asking them to tell how they feel, when the M wish to be alone that time. The worse thing is that, the W will feel that they did something wrong which cause their M to avoid them [which from the beginning it does not hav anything to do with the W]. The W will feel hurt, their feelings not being cared by the M, felt sorry for them and start blaming themselves for the M's retreat from them. This is a natural cycle that happens to most M, and when W try to chase after M, or wait for M to come out from their caves, W will eventually break the M's natural cycle, making M more stress and not normal. Thus, W should do something happy to avoid themselves from too pushing their M out from their caves, or making M more stressed. When M retreat, just feel free and let them be alone, until they are fine, they will eventually come bck and offer the love and attention you need. For W, try to und this cycle of men, and its just so natural for them, its just like W being emotional during period! ^^. Try to be understanding. Tell ur M that u'll always be there if they need you, and dun chase them for the reason for distress. [Coz they might not even know y]. If you understand this, you will not hav any problem with men!

The 'wave' happens to W. W naturally offers love and care to ppl they love and care. And they expect M to b the same, offering love to them without being asked. But the truth is, M wil only offer something which is being asked. [So dun expect ur M to know what you want]. 'Wave' is a cycle happens to W too. When then wave rises, it represents a W's love is rising and she can gives all love and care she has to ppl, but then when their loves reaches the max, it will go down and crash like the waves. That time, their mood and emotion will drop so low that they need loves and attention to rise their love level back. At this time all W want is to talk about their feelings and need good listener, to support and understand, n sympathize with them without offering solutions [M naturally try to solves problem]. However, M feels W are the same like them, like to be alone and leave them aside when W needed them most.

The thing that most couples find not common and depressing is things like, 'You dun understand my feelings', 'You gives me too much stress', 'Can't you just be happy?', 'I dun feel you around even if you're here'...and etc. [I myself used these so much]. This because we treat our partner like treating ourselves. We want them to love us like how we love ourselves. Now, we use back the cases that we see up there:

For M:
When they are into their caves, they wish to be alone and not to be asked or giv solutions by W. M will feel as if useless in dealing with their problems. When in caves, W chase after M to talk to them, to know how they feel and offers solution to M, as W themselves talk when they are not happy, so they expect their M to be the same. Thus, creating stress and problems of misunderstanding btwn them

For W:
When they are down during crash of their mood waves, they need to fill up with love and concern from their M, and need attentions. But M thought W are like them, when moody W wanted to b alone as well, but which is not. So, W will think their M not understanding of their feelings and turn more depressed. Thus, making both moody and unhappy with each other.

Conclusion, understanding characteristics of M and W, u will know what they want and what you can do. I am now facing the same problem, where my love is in cave now, and I dun chase him asking him what happen, coz if he wanna tell, he will tell me eventually. So how not to worry or chase him over this??? I drag myself from thinking, by writing this post now. Haha..I hope he feels better

Baby, if u're reading this..I wan u know I'm always there if u need me!

Bamboo charcoal

Last sunday I was surprised to know something called bamboo charcoal from Jyn Ling, one of my besties. I never heard of BAMBOO charcoal b4 but I know what is charcoal of coz. LOLZ...

^^

Upon hearing the benefits of natural ingredient like bamboo charcoal, I bought myself a bamboo charcoal cleanser for acne treatment.
No doubt my pimples are getting more and I'm desperate for proper solution. The promoter suggested me to try out their bamboo charcoal cleanser as she strongly stressed that natural ingredients are better than chemical cleanser. Well I wanted to get my skin problem away so I take the risk and bought the cleanser. Here are what the promoter told me for beauty secrets:

  • Do not pick on the pimples coz our finger tips are extremely dirty
  • Upon using this cleanser, there might b chances where more pimples will appear as the active ingredients cleanse deep into the our skin to force all the toxins and pimples out. So do not pick on the zits, just keep washing
  • Use 2 to 3 times daily and keep your face clean using clean towel

I've used for 2 days plus and amazingly, those big big pimples are reducing, but of coz there are pimples popping out too..I just hope what the girl said is true...after 1 week will b much better!

Lemon Chicken Recipe

I'm sure most people love to eat lemon chicken rite? Haha..I personally love it very much =) Now here is the simple recipe for lemon chicken

Lemon Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Chicken meat / parts
  • Oyster sauce *
  • Salt *
  • Sugar *
  • Fried chicken flour
  • Corn flour
  • Lemon zest [juice: filter from the pulp and seeds, roungly one lemon for 1 chicken]
  • Asam sauce
  • Oil
  • Water

* are for chicken marinade

Cooking methods:

  1. First like usual, marinade your chicken parts with appropriate oyster sauce, sugar and salt for 30 minutes at least. Set aside

  2. Then heat up enough oil in the wok and when it is hot, fry the chicken that has been covered with fried chicken flour or corn flour, until it is golden brown

  3. Drain from excess oil and set aside

  4. To prepare the sauce, first pour in the asam sauce in the wok and then add desireable amount of water to dilute the sauce.

  5. Then add in the lemon juice slowly. Do not pour all as we afraid it might be too sour. Once the 'lemon soury taste' reach ur expectations, then u can add some sugar to taste. You can even use the lemon skin [without pulp] to create stronger lemon taste in your sauce

  6. To thicken the sauce, use the corn stock made from corn flour and water. While adding bit by bit, constantly stirring the liquid till it's thickened!

  7. Lastly, you can either mix the sauce with the chicken straight away, or you can simply pour on top of the chicken b4 serving!

Happy trying :)

Chicken recipe!

Ahem..I'm going to update another recipe that I've triend few times and it's simply delicious for me, but of coz it's abit tidious and kinda troublesome to make too..Erm..it take lots of preparation and time to cook it..but believe me..all the hard work pays off once u taste the chicken! Hard work di 100%..LOLZ =P

Salted Duck Egg Yolk Chicken Recipe

Ingredient:
  • Chicken parts *
  • Oyster sauce *
  • Sugar *
  • Salt *
  • Fried chicken flour/corn flour
  • Salted duck eggs (yolk only) [3-4 for 1 whole chicken]
  • Curry leaves (few stalks)
  • Evaporated milk
  • Oil
  • Butter or margerine

* are to marinade the chicken

Methods??

I'm sure most people will dare not try this recipe for health purpose. Salted egg yolk high in cholesterol. But you can still enjoy this recipe the healthier way : eg. Remove all the skin and solid and visible fat from the chicken, or simply just use chicken breast meat. You can also use less egg yolk if you want

  1. First marinade the chicken with above ingredients for 30 minutes, at least.
  2. Once ready, coat the chicken with fried chicken flour or corn flour. In the mean time, steam the salted egg yolks till cooked. Once it is done, mash it with fork and set aside
  3. Heat up oil in your wok and when it's heated, deep fry the chicken parts till golden brown and drain from excess oil
  4. After all chicken parts are fried, heat up your work with some oil, roughly about 2 table spoon, or you can use butter or margerine for better taste. The amount of fat and oil is various among individuals
  5. Then, add in the mashed salted egg yolks and stir well till the fragrant is up
  6. Add in curry leaves and mix. After some time, slowly add in the evaporated milk. Keep stirring to make the liquid dries up faster. Add in more milk if it's too dry.
  7. Be reminded that the milk with salted egg yolk should not be too thick or too watery before adding the chicken
  8. Remember to add some sugar and salt to taste.
  9. Finally add in the fried chicken and keep stirring till the milk dries up. You're done!

Next recipe??? Guess yourself!

p/s: Ain't no other but you baby

I *heart* you

I love you, Jian Choong!
I love my family!
I love my besties!
I love my best pals!
I love my uni gang now!
I love everyone who loves me!
I love myself!

For broccoli lover

Ahhemm...So sorry for neglecting my blog for so long! Haha...Today wanna update on a recipe again. Well I must admit this is a very simple dish and I'm sure if I can do it...you can make it too! It's pretty simple btw

Broccoli in Oyster Sauce

Ingredients:
  • Broccoli (chopped to small pieces)
  • Carrot (sliced thin) *

  • Corn flour
  • Sugar to taste

* is optional. You can also include some meat in this recipe if u like :)

How to cook??? :

  1. Firstly you need to boil some water in the wok in order to blanch ur veges [blanch is to fast cook you vege for like 1 minute in boiling water]
  2. Once the water is boiled, throw in the broccoli. * if you r using carrots too, then first put in the carrots then after few seconds, put in broccoli, this is because carrots are naturally harder
  3. After you see the bright colours of broccoli is there, drain it from water and set aside
  4. The heat up the wok and saute the chopped garlic with some oil until it's fragrant. If you are adding meat, then saute it too at this stage till it's cooked
